Pipe Lining Services in New York | Busy Bee Septic and Excavating LLC

Your sewer line may suffer damage over time and due to different reasons. It can corrode, or it can be broken during construction. Tree roots may also grow into the sewer line, and there’s nothing you can do to protect your sewer line from such problems completely.

Fortunately, a damaged pipe doesn’t always mean complete replacement. Pipe lining is a method used for repairing and replacing cracked, leaking, backed up, and damaged sewer lines.

It uses a “no-dig” trenchless process to avoid yard excavation. This results in a new seal lining the walls of your existing pipes, replacing broken piping that can last for decades.

At Busy Bee Septic and Excavating LLC, we work tirelessly to make sure your property stays free of time-consuming plumbing problems. Our experts use the latest in efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective technology to provide long-lasting sewer repair solutions.

Our non-invasive pipe lining services use advanced technology that allows us to restore the pipe underground. This process requires little to no excavation, reducing the costs and time spent on the project significantly.

The main goal of pipe lining is to extend the lifespan of the pipe you currently have. Generally, it can last 50 years, but the actual pipe lining can exceed this period. Some can even last a hundred years.

However, some factors can affect the durability of a pipe lined sewer. Tree roots and earthquakes are some unforeseeable forces that can damage the pipes again. Another factor is material.

Pipelining comes in four different types, each of which has a varying life expectancy.

Pull-In Place

Pull-in place pipes can last for up to 40 years. This method is used to repair damages such as gaps and wide cracks. The name is derived from the process of pulling the liner saturated with epoxy.

Internal Pipe Coating

Internal pipe coating can last for more or less 50 years. It is best used for sectional drain fixtures and long pipes that have corroded, cracked or damaged by tree roots.

Cured-In Place

Cured-in place can also last 50 years, but it’s best used for wider lines.

Pipe Bursting

Pipe bursting lasts the longest out of all the pipe lining methods. It can last for 100 years.

Anything related to your sewer can be repaired with pipe lining. When you detect small cracks or leaks in your underground plumbing, pipe lining can be the best solution.

Most often, pipe lining targets the replacement of clay piping, cast iron, concrete, plastic, and PVC pipes. Generally, it involves these steps.

Sewer Camera Inspection

This process is performed to confirm the position of cracks and compromised pipes.

Cleaning Existing Pipes

This process involves removing debris and other blockages.

Measurement of Existing Pipes

The contractor will measure the length of your existing pipes.

Preparation of Tube Replacement

The replacement pipe tubing is a felt tube made of fiberglass, polyester, or similar materials.

Epoxy Impregnation and Inversion of Tubing

The tube piping will be saturated using an epoxy resin and then flipped inside-out using an advanced inverter drum so that it will be on the outside of the tubing. This allows it to be affixed to the walls of the existing pipes.

Insert Tubing Throughout the Compromised Pipes

The tubing will slide throughout the walls of the plumbing system until in place and ready for curing.

Curing of Tubing

This step is what creates the new seal.

Sewer Flow is Returned to New Pipes

The service to pipes can be restored once the curing process is complete.
